This month, we spoke to Rahul Bachchas, our Information Security Manager based in our Noida office in India. This conversation is all about Rahul’s professional evolution, his reflections on DataFlow’s ethos, and a surprising revelation about his childhood dream career.

Let’s dive right in.

Can you introduce yourself and tell us about your role at DataFlow?

Hi everyone! I’m Rahul, an Information Security Manager here at the DataFlow Group. I’ve proudly contributed four years to this organization, managing everything related to data and information security. With a B.Tech in IT and certifications like ISMS Lead Auditor and CISA, I’ve evolved from an analyst to my current role. DataFlow has been a great launchpad for my growth.

What milestones are you particularly proud of in your information security career at DataFlow?

Being with DataFlow has been an achievement in itself. Starting as an analyst, I’ve climbed the ranks to become a level 2 manager within four years. Moreover, achieving a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification this year was a huge milestone for my professional career.

One thing I love about DataFlow is that it encourages personal and professional growth and respects my decisions within the organization.

How has the multicultural environment at DataFlow positively shaped your professional experience?

Working with a diverse, multicultural team at DataFlow has been very rewarding. Furthermore, it promotes a wide range of ideas and perspectives, allowing me to implement ideas from different cultures into my work, creating a rich collaborative atmosphere.

How do you ensure the information security of applicant data, particularly considering DataFlow’s global reach?

Data security is of the utmost importance at DataFlow, especially considering the global reach and the sensitive nature of applicant data. We’ve implemented safeguards, following internationally recognized ISO Frameworks like an Information Security Management System (ISMS) and Privacy Information Management System.

Rahul Bachchas, Information Security Manager

What guiding principle or mantra do you personally follow?

I believe in the power of taking small, consistent steps toward my goals, and the results speak for themselves!

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I aspire to become a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and that involves continuous learning. I’m an avid reader and love exploring books on information security. I also follow a lot of YouTube channels that share best industry practices on how to implement security throughout your organization. It helps me stay on top of my game.

What’s something about you that people wouldn’t guess?

Life has its twists! My childhood dream was to become a cricketer, but I eventually found my passion in information security. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
