Delivering a workshop highlighting the vital role of Primary Source Verification in safeguarding the education system against document forgery
Dubai, 22 November 2017: The DataFlow Group – a leading global provider of specialised Primary Source Verification (PSV) solutions, and background screening and immigration compliance services – participated as an exhibitor and workshop organizer in the UK National Academic Recognition Information Centre Annual Conference (UK NARIC Annual Conference). Held on 20 – 21 November under the theme ‘Charting the Course Ahead’ – the event shed light onto the varied aspects of achieving growth and reducing risk for academic institutions and the education sector as a whole.
The DataFlow Group workshop – titled ‘Verifying Qualifications: Reducing Risk’ – outlined the use of PSV best practices as an ideal solution for preventing fraud and mitigating associated risks within the education sector. During the workshop, a support paper was shared with the attendees highlighting and explaining the principles of PSV, and how it is used to detect fraudulent applications that could potentially endanger an academic institution’s compliance with Home Office regulations when recruiting international students and workers, in addition to a selection of case studies detailing how the DataFlow Group conducts PSV and the effectiveness of its outcomes.
“We are excited to extend our robust PSV services as a practical solution for UK NARIC member organizations, especially considering the increasing number of individuals misrepresenting or forging their documents in order to secure academic or employment opportunities in the UK, which is regarded as an international education hub. This partnership is one we are very proud of, as it actively protects the interests of students, professionals and institutions alike,” commented Douglas Nairne, CEO of the DataFlow Group.
